Starting: Monday, October 4

Lesson Time: 10 am - 11 am AEDT

(reminder: we are entering Daylight Savings time on Sunday, October 3rd)

October 4th: Lesson 1 - Forcing or not?
Knowing whether partner’s bid is forcing or not is the key to happy partnerships. The last thing you want to hear is partner passing a bid you meant as forcing.

October 11th: Lesson 2 - Slam or Not?
Not many pairs venture to slam, but a successful partnership will use the tools available to decide whether you hold enough controls to bid small or even grand slam.

October 18th: Lesson 3 - Is this hand a Misfit or not?
Knowing when to opt out of the bidding is  an art, and must be done when it’s clear the hand is a misfit.

October 25th: Lesson 4 - Two sides in the bidding: How far to go?
When the points are evenly divided between both sides, what to do when the opponents bid one more? Pass? Double? Or bid one more yourself?
This is the hardest area of the bidding, and this lesson will give you some suggestions to get it right.

After each online lesson, you'll receive a wrap-up email containing:

  • A recording of the lesson for you to watch and review in your own time (for revision or if you're unable to make a class)
